3. Make your keyword the first part of your title tag.

4. Embed modifiers in title tags.
Adding words and phrases to your title tags will help them to rank for longtail keywords. These terms should be 6-8 words Examples include using words like “best”, “review”, or even including the current year.

5. Make sure that the keyword appears in the first paragraph.
The primary keyword of your article or blog should appear in the first 100-150 words of your content, which is usually the first paragraph.

6. Use the primary keyword in all header tags.
Make sure it appears in the H1, H2, and H3 tags, if you have any.

7. Be sure to optimize your alt text.
Google is great, but it is not great at reading images. So, make things easy by optimizing the image alt text and the file names of the images.

8. Use variations of your primary keyword.
Keyword stuffing is a thing of the past and can cause Google to overlook your content. Instead of jamming your primary keyword into your content 100 times, try using variations of it.

9. Add external links into your content.
External links can help add authority to your site. The best way to secure external links is through good link building practices. 5-8 links is a happy place to be.

10. Include internal links in your content.
Internal links keep users on your site for a longer period and help them find relevant information faster when appropriately linked. 2-5 good internal links are all you need!
